On 10th August 2016, the British guitar virtuoso celebrated half a century in music business by hosting a special concert at the world-famous Hollywood Bowl with artists he had collaborated with over the years including Billy F. Gibbons, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Hall, Jan Hammer, Beth Hart and Steven Tyler.

Spanning Jeff’s entire career, the set list went back to his recordings with The Yardbirds in the sixties right up to his July 2016 solo album ‘Loud Hailer’.

The epic gig climaxed with the guests all joining forces for an exhilarating encore performance of ‘Purple Rain’ in tribute to Prince, who had passed away a couple of months before the concert.

On Friday 6th October, Eagle Rock Entertainment are releasing the landmark concert film ‘Jeff Beck: Live At The Hollywood Bowl’ on DVD+2CD, Blu-ray+2CD and DVD+3LP formats.

To whet fans appetites ahead of the release, you can watch footage of Jeff and Steven Tyler performing a cover of Tiny Bradshaw’s ‘Train Kept A-Rollin' below.

The Yardbirds, of course, released a cover of the song in November 1965 with Aerosmith releasing their own interpretation nine years later.
